BLOCK PUZZLE
Objective
The goal of Blockudoku is to score points by clearing blocks from the 9x9 grid by filling entire
rows or columns with blocks.
Setup
Grid
The game is played on a 9x9 grid, similar to a Sudoku board.
Blocks
Different shapes of blocks (similar to Tetris pieces) are presented to the player three at a
time. These blocks must be placed on the grid.
Gameplay
Placing Blocks
- Players are given three blocks at a time to place on the grid. Once all three blocks are
placed, a new set of three blocks will appear.
- Blocks can be placed anywhere on the grid as long as they fit within the empty spaces.
- Blocks cannot be rotated; they must be placed in the orientation given.
Clearing Lines and Squares
- To clear blocks and score points, you need to complete a full row or column on the grid.
- When a row, column, or square is completed, the blocks in that line or square are removed
from the grid, creating more space for new blocks.
Game Over
The game ends when there is no room on the grid to place any of the available blocks.
Additional Rules
- Combos: Clearing lines or squares in consecutive moves creates a combo,
which also grants bonus points.
Boosters
- Square Booster: You can place a 1x1 block.
- Hammer Booster: You can break a 1x1 block.
- Shuffle Booster: You can reshuffle your existing hand.
